The Fairies of Turtle Creek

Claire Collins is a rational eighth grader from a suburb of Dallas who believes science can prove the existence of everything. But her scientific world is flipped around when her estranged grandmother comes to live with her and begins telling about the family’s history, with twists of magic and whimsy.

At first, Claire is skeptical about her seemingly senile grandmother’s tales of mysterious happenings down by the creek. When she does some research and her own investigations with her best friend Lacey, Claire is forced to face some truths she never thought possible. Sometimes hope is wrapped in things that can’t be explained.
