Ted Ruybal, Owner / Designer

Ted Ruybal has been in advertising ten years and in publishing as a creative book designer and consultant for the last ten years. He has personally worked with authors and small publishers using his creative skills and knowledge to help others independently publish their books. With Wisdom House Books, Ted can now offer the services that all writers seek and personal guidance that few publishers can provide.

Clara Jackson, Owner / Public Relations

Clara Jackson received her BFA, Communications, Theatre, at Fordham University in New York City, NY and her MA, Arts Copyright Law at New York University, New York City, NY. She has been a curator, producer, and artist agent for over 20 years. Currently co-owner of Wisdom House Books as the Public Relations Director.

Bri Sikorski is a Public Relations and Marketing Assistant at Wisdom House Books. They have worked in public relations and communications in the non-profit, private, and academic sectors, helping further initiatives and generate strategy for businesses for the past two and a half years. When they are not helping authors promote their books and receive the attention they deserve, Bri is a graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where they are pursuing an MA in Folklore. When they have the time, they love to read, write, and co-host a podcast. They live in Durham, NC with their partner, dog, and cat.

Will Walton received a BA in English at Valdosta State University, in Valdosta, GA, and an MFA in Poetry at North Carolina State University, in Raleigh, NC. He continues to live in the Triangle and write poetry, publishing his poems in literary magazines, when he can. Currently, he is Senior Editor  at Wisdom House Books.

Lindi Kistler is a Graphic Designer with a background in Fine Art and Art History. Her work is guided by a belief in using creative solutions to craft authentic designs that inform and persuade. Great design begins with a great story, at Wisdom House Books Lindi delights in working with authors to create compelling cover designs and elegant interior layouts to achieve expert results.

Becky Calvert has been an avid reader all her life. She has written for a number of local and regional publications in a variety of positions ranging from regular wine columnist to feature author of an artist profile to editing a bridal story and everything in between. She can most often be found in her kitchen, where she frequently has her laptop open on the counter so she can keep an eye on whatever is bubbling on the stove while she works. 

Diane Woodin is dedicated to supporting the creative vision of those around her and is experienced in both academic and creative writing. She holds a PhD in Art History from UNC Chapel Hill and a BA in English from Skidmore College. As a doctoral student, she taught undergraduates in Art History, Women’s Studies, and Asian Studies. Her primary research interests include 18th-century history, literature, and women in science. When she is not reading or writing, she is running through the woods or traveling abroad to relish art.
